Conditions We Treat And How We Can Help.
A holistic approach to wellness, healing, and maintaining health (previously disease prevention) is especially important whether I am treating people with pain, tendon and sports injuries, complex chronic conditions such as fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome, or even minimizing the consequences of aging. The conventional medicine and orthopedics that I studied was very important, but tough problems often require a more well rounded approach, melding the best of modern medicine and technology with new ideas about nutrition, herbal medicine, genetic testing, body work techniques, needle techniques (dry needling, trigger point injections, prolotherapy), and the use of Platelet Rich Plasma and stem cell technologies.
Do you have pain or other symptoms that no one has been able to figure out? Perhaps it is a discomfort that is difficult to describe, or it may be numbness, burning, or even a sharp stinging sensation. This enigmatic discomfort is often myofascial pain. Don’t give up hope. Get evaluated by a myofascial pain specialist. Even after many years, this pain can often be successfully treated and reduced.
Have you been told you might need spinal or nerve surgery for pain? That surgery is a last resort and you would like to investigate alternatives?
